Twenty-seven year work career included various accounting and human
resource management positions with experience in development of
policies and procedures, budgeting, planning, federal and state law
compliance, tax, cash management, disaster planning and recovery,
communications, presentations, organizational development and
employee training and compensation. Currently serving on the
Personnel, Long-Range Planning, Committee on Committees and Disaster
Relief and Recovery Fund committees for Diamondhead Baptist Church,
as well as Past President of the Diamondhead Women's Golf
Association Nines. Honorary member of the Diamondhead SPCA and
served a four year term on the POA's Golf committee.
Councilman – Hank Holcomb. Wife, Susan. Resident 10 years.
Graduate of North Georgia College: B.S. in
Physical Education; Appalachian State University: M.A. in
Instructional Technology. Graduate: U.S. Army Command and Staff College and U.S. Army War College. Retired Infantry
Colonel from U.S. Army after 30 Years in command, operational and
strategic planning, personnel training, organizational development,
Ranger, Airborne, installation management and inspector general
positions. Currently serving as elder and clerk of session for
Diamondhead Community Church, Director of the Diamondhead Community
Association, president of the Diamondhead Men’s Golf Association and
service officer for VFW Post 2880. Served as volunteer at Hancock
County Food Pantry, with the Christmas in April project and on the
Presbytery of Mississippi Disaster Relief Organization. Patron –
Diamondhead Performing Arts Society. Member – Boaters Association
and the Aloha Club. Organized candidate forums for state and local
candidates in 2003 and 2007.

Educational Administration. Retired after working 39 years in
schools in Louisiana and Mississippi as chemistry/physics teacher,
coach, teacher of gifted students, assistant principal, principal,
school district supervisor for gifted/talented programs, summer
schools, and state mandated remediation programs in district with 84
schools and 50,000 students. Diamondhead activities: served as
Director of the Diamondhead Men’s Golf Association; POA committee to
develop list of abandoned homes and lots with trailers on them;
chairman of Golf Operations committee; contributor to Diamondhead
News. Holy Trinity Men’s Club.
