Diamondhead Interim City Council

Mayor – Chuck Ingraham. Wife, Jerry. Resident 11 years.  Louisiana State University: BS, Industrial Management. Chapman University: MA, Administration. Graduate: USMC Amphibious Warfare School, USMC Command and Staff College, and Naval War College.  Retired from U.S. Marine Corps, 30 years active and 4 years reserve, Colonel, Logistics Officer. Retired from Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS), 10 years, Director, Gulfport (also for various periods Meridian, Pascagoula, New Orleans, La. and Millington, Tenn.).  Past Chairman, Hancock County United Way, and past member United Way of South Mississippi Board of Directors (Chairman, Allocations Sub-Committee). Annunciation Church Lector and member of Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. NMCRS Volunteer.  Diamondhead Activities: Treasurer, Boaters Assn.; Treasurer, Continuing Education; Board of Directors, Men’s Golf Assn.; Member, Yacht Club; Patron, Performing Arts Society; Trustee, VFW Post 2880; Member, POA Government Affairs Committee; and Master of Ceremonies, Memorial Day Service since inception in 2000.

 

 

Councilwoman - Dianne Ackerman. Husband, Rodney. Resident 7 years.  Cum laude graduate of McNeese State University: B.S. in Accounting.  Former Director, Human Resources for Dominion Exploration and Production.  Twenty-seven year work career included various accounting and human resource management positions with experience in development of policies and procedures, budgeting, planning, federal and state law compliance, tax, cash management, disaster planning and recovery, communications, presentations, organizational development and employee training and compensation.  Currently serving on the Personnel, Long-Range Planning, Committee on Committees and Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund committees for Diamondhead Baptist Church, as well as Past President of the Diamondhead Women's Golf Association Nines.  Honorary member of the Diamondhead SPCA and served a four year term on the POA's Golf committee.

 

 

Councilman – Hank Holcomb. Wife, Susan. Resident 10 years.  Graduate of North Georgia College: B.S. in Physical Education; Appalachian State University: M.A. in Instructional Technology.  Graduate: U.S. Army Command and Staff College and U.S. Army War College.  Retired Infantry Colonel from U.S. Army after 30 Years in command, operational and strategic planning, personnel training, organizational development, Ranger, Airborne, installation management and inspector general positions.  Currently serving as elder and clerk of session for Diamondhead Community Church, Director of the Diamondhead Community Association, president of the Diamondhead Men’s Golf Association and service officer for VFW Post 2880.  Served as volunteer at Hancock County Food Pantry, with the Christmas in April project and on the Presbytery of Mississippi Disaster Relief Organization.  Patron – Diamondhead Performing Arts Society.  Member – Boaters Association and the Aloha Club.  Organized candidate forums for state and local candidates in 2003 and 2007.


 

Councilman – Ernie Knobloch. Wife, Dinah. Resident 3 years. Southeastern Louisiana University: BS in biology; University of New Orleans, M.Ed., Educational Administration. Retired after working 39 years in schools in Louisiana and Mississippi as chemistry/physics teacher, coach, teacher of gifted students, assistant principal, principal, school district supervisor for gifted/talented programs, summer schools, and state mandated remediation programs in district with 84 schools and 50,000 students. Diamondhead activities: served as Director of the Diamondhead Men’s Golf Association; POA committee to develop list of abandoned homes and lots with trailers on them; chairman of Golf Operations committee; contributor to Diamondhead News.  Holy Trinity Men’s Club.

 

 

Councilman – Ron Rech. Wife, Judy. Resident 5 years. Graduate of University of  Nebraska: B.A. in Business Administration.  University of Illinois: MBA Studies. Air National Guard, 6 years. Retired from IBM Corporation: 33 years in management, technical consulting and customer education.  Prism, Inc.: Manager of Software Education. D2k, Inc.: Director of Quality and Customer Support. Past president of two homeowners associations.  Volunteer Deputy Sheriff in Arizona.  Past ruling Elder and Financial Chairman-Diamondhead Community Church.  Served on Hurricane Disaster Relief Team.  Current member of Diamondhead Methodist Church.  V.P.- Diamondhead Men’s Golf Assn.  Food Pantry volunteer.  Member of Boaters Association, Aloha Club and Treasurer - Krewe of Diamondhead.

 

 

Councilman – Dalton Roberson. Wife, Pearl. Resident  8 years. Michigan State University: BA, Political Science. Michigan State, Detroit College of Law: Jurist Doctorate. U.S. Air Force, 45 months. Asst. County Prosecutor, Asst. U.S. Attorney and Partner Law firm. Chief Judge Pro Tem and Chief Judge, Recorder’s Court.  Executive Chief Judge, Wayne County 3rd Circuit Court. Arbitration and Mediations: Police Misconduct, Medical Malpractice, Contractual Disputes and Qualified Mediator for Wayne County 3rd Circuit Court.  Managed large urban court with about 500 employees.  Directly responsible to the Michigan Supreme court for the orderly administration and budgetary concerns of the largest criminal and civil court in the State of Michigan. Awards: National Conference of Black Lawyers, William Hastie Judge of the Year Award and National Center for State Courts, Best Managed Large Urban Court.  Memberships: State Bar of Michigan, National Bar Association, Wolverine Bar Association, Michigan Judges Association, National Conference of Black Lawyers, NAACP and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Analyst, WJBK, Fox 2 Detroit. Served on search committee to hire Diamondhead POA General Manager.
